Underage football study in Spain
Student visa may not allow you to take part in official matches
For minors and their families considering studying football in Spain, it is very important to understand the rules for participating in official competitions. Generally, the minimum age to officially compete in Spain is 18 years old. However, in some autonomous regions, under-18s may be able to compete if they obtain provisional federation registration.
However, the procedure for obtaining this provisional federation registration, even if you are under 18, is not easy and can often be facilitated by a reputable agent. There are many cases where a student starts their football studies easily and ends up only practising, without being able to participate in any official matches.
When coming to Spain with parents
Furthermore, if the parents have a residence permit or visa in Spain, the child will obtain federation registration,
increase the chances of their child being able to participate in official matches. However, this procedure is not 100% successful either.
In fact, some of our clients have obtained visas for their children.
